DISTINCTION offers two primary sound sources: tonal and noise sounds. To create the sound sources for the tonal layers, we've adopted unconventional approaches such as bowing cymbals, rolling marbles in a frame drum, routing synths through reverb and distortion, and generating feedback with guitar amplifiers, microphones, and speakers.

The noise sound sources consist of a diverse range of recordings, including field recordings, ambiences, and actual engine noises. Additionally, we've captured unconventional sounds, such as bouncing tennis balls on a chair or the sound of a train driving over a bridge. All of these sounds were processed through a wide array of analog outboard gear.

The result? Sounds you may have never encountered before, full of character and complex overtones.
